Samsung UE46C8000 |
The basics
The snappily titled Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV does exactly what it says on the tin, offering 46 inches of 3D viewing goodness. It's also an incredibly slim TV, promising to fit on the smallest of mantle pieces.
The good
Put simply, the Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV is drop dead gorgeous. It's super slim – at just 24mm – and looks incredibly expensive. The bezel around the screen is also surprisingly thin, making the display look bigger than it actually is.
It's the 3D technology that really sells the Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV, however. You'll need a pair of active 3D glasses – and you should be able to get at least one free pair from your reseller – but once you turn on the 3D tech, you'll never want to go back. Images look simply stunning, with a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution – and movies look larger than life.
Despite the super slim profile, there are loads of ports on the Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV. You'll find 4 HDMI ports, along with 2 Scart ports, 2 USB, DVI and a host of others – supporting both old and new peripherals.
The bad
Samsung doesn't provide two active 3D glasses as standard with the Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV, despite the £1500+ asking price.
The bottom line
If you're in the market for a new TV, the Samsung UE46C8000 3D TV simply has to be on your list. It's gorgeous, feature packed and offers a stunning picture, either in 2D or 3D.
