Equally reviled for its violence and praised for its candor and exhilarating open world explorations, this veritable social Rorschach test is rumored to be ready for a sequel, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5.
According to Gamespot, development is currently underway. Supposedly, the last details are being worked on. These details are rumored to involve mini-games. According to the unnamed source, Grand Theft Auto 5′s scale is “vast”. What exactly does it mean? To be honest, the silence regarding this game is quite deafening. The loudest hint we’ve received prior to this Gamespot report is that Gilbert Gottfried has been hired on to do the lead voice for Grand Theft Auto 5. Talk about comic relief! Looked like somebody had their thrills at the expense of series fans’ anticipation and hopes.
All indicators point to the Gottfried “news” might just be a hoax since Take Two had advertised for a casting call of voice actors to voice James Pedeaston. Pedeaston featured in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Anyway, the details regarding Grand Theft Auto 5 are very sparse and tightly guarded. We don’t even have a clue regarding its setting.
